Abstract

Assessing person–occupation fit is important for helping inpiduals explore career paths and evaluate their fit with positions in the labor market. Dr. Liu and her research team developed an integrative set of person–occupation fit assessments. These measures capture 88 micro-level aspects of fit and are linked with objective occupational data from O*NET. Findings show that this multidimensional approach improves the prediction of career-related outcomes. The newly developed measures, scoring procedures, and O*NET linkage methods have been made publicly available to support future academic research, including published studies on personality change and career development, as well as practical career applications.
