Moritz de Greck

Moritz de Greck is a post-doc researcher (2009-2011), who studies neurocognitive mechanisms of reward and self-related processing. He publishes his findings in Human Brain Mapping and other journals.

Dr. Jie Sui

Dr. Jie Sui is post-doc fellow in the lab (2004-2006). She received her Ph.D. (psychology) from Peking University in 2004. She studies cultural influence on self-face recognition and self-referential processing using ERPs and fMRI. She published her findings in Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Psychological Sciences, and Neuroreport.

Dr. Xun He

Dr. Xun He is post-doc fellow in the lab (2004-2006). He received his Ph.D. from Graduate School of University of Science and Technology of China in 2004. He studies the neural mechanisms of space-based and object-based attention using ERPs and fMRI. He publishes his findings in Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience.

Dr. Shena Lu

Dr. Shena Lu is post-doc fellow in the lab (2006-2008). She studies the cognitive mechanisms of spatial attention using behavioral and ERP measurements. She publishes her findings in Psychological Sciences and Psychological Bulletin and Review.

Dr. Sieun An

Dr. Sieun An is a post-doc fellow in the lab(2014-2016). She earned her B.A. in Psychology (Minor: Sociology) at State University of New York at Albany, and her M.A. and Ph.D. at New Mexico State University in Experimental Psychology, with emphasis on social cognition. She has also gained post-doctoral training at Queen’s University, Canada for 1 year, focusing on cross-cultural studies, following which she came to Peking University, China. Her main investigation is focused on emotion, particularly how people conceptualize, rather than simply express, emotion. With Dr. Han, she explores the topic physiologically and neurologically, and expand our understanding of human cognitive processes. Thus far, she has published in such journals as JCCP, CRISP, etc. and has several projects that are under review or being written up for submission.

Xiaosi Gu

Xiaosi Gu is an undergraduate student in the lab (2003-2006). She studies the cognitive and neural mechanisms of empathy for pain and of self-referential processing using fMRI. She publishes her findings in NeuroImage.

Jing Chen

Jing Chen is a graduate student (2004-2006). She studies the difference between shifts of spatial attention along the vertical and horizontal meridian of the visual field. She publishes her findings in Chinese Science Bulletin.

Yi Jiang

Yi Jiang is a graduate student (2002-2004). He studies neural mechanisms of visual perceptual grouping and attention. He publishes 12 papers based on his work in the lab in journals such as Brain, Neuroimage, Human Brain Mapping, and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Xin Zhang

Xin Zhang is a graduate student (2002-2005). He studies neural mechanisms of global/local perception of compound visual stimuli. He publishes his findings in Chinese Science Bulletin and Acta Psychologica Sinica.

Bin Zhou

Bin Zhou is a graduate student (2003-2005). He studies neural mechanisms of visual attention and working memory. He publishes his findings in NeuroReport and Brain Research.

Qingyang Li

Qingyang Li is a graduate student (2003-2005). He studies neural mechanisms of visual perceptual grouping using ERPs. He publishes his findings in Sciences in China.

Lei Zhou

Lei Zhou is a graduate student (2003-2005). He studies working memory of global and local features of visual compound stimuli. He publishes his findings in Acta Psychologica Sinica.

Xiaoang Wan

Xiaoang Wan is a graduate student (2001-2003). She studies shifts of spatial attention in a perceived 3-D space. She publishes her findings in Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology, Section A.

Jianqiao Ge

Jianqiao Ge is a graduate student (2004-2009). She is interested in neural mechanisms of theory-of-mind and causal attribution and how cultures influence these social cognitive functions.

Chenbo Wang is a graduate student (2009-2014). 

He received his Bachelor's degree of Biomedical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2009. He studies how brain functions under physiological sensation (e.g. pain perception) and sociocultural experiences (e.g. self-construal priming), using neuroimaging methods such as EEG and fMRI. He publishes his studies in Social Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, etc.

Siyang Luo

Siyang Luo is a graduate student (2010-2015). 

He is interested in how culture and gene interact to shape human social behavior. Using neuroimaging methods such as EEG and fMRI, he studies the neural mechanisms underlying cultural(e.g. individualism-collectivism) and genetic(e.g. 5-HTTLPR, OXTR) effect on affective(e.g. social rejection, empathy, death anxiety, depression) and cognitive(decision making) processes. His studies were published on Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, Plos One, etc.
